St Luke’s CE Academy Ofsted
Staffordshire University Academies Trust is proud to share and celebrate a very positive Ofsted outcome at St Luke’s CE Academy, one of the members of our family of schools, as they continue their journey to help lights shine for all. We would like to congratulate colleagues and the young people at St Luke’s on their outstanding outcome in all areas of the educational provision at the academy.
‘The school’s motto ‘helping lights shine for all’ permeates across every area of school life. All pupils, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), achieve well across the curriculum as well as personally and socially.’
The Ofsted report praises St Luke’s for a meticulously designed and well-ordered curriculum that is broad and vibrant, recognising that teachers are well trained, consistent, and ensure that learning is embedded by deploying strategies ensure that children understand what has been taught.
‘Teachers are experts in delivering the curriculum. The school has made sure that they are very well trained and there is a consistency of approach. Teachers use a range of strategies successfully to check that pupils have firmly understood earlier concepts and ideas.’
Through the extensive work, quality first teaching and caring professionalism of the leaders and staff at the academy, children are supported and enabled to thrive and flourish.
Headteacher, Mrs Danylyk said: “I am very proud of our whole school community and feel that the OFSTED judgement is a true reflection of the work that everyone in the team puts in each day.”
The Academy has a dynamic approach to the pursuit of ensuring that every child feels valued and known; St Luke’s ensures that every child has a sense of belonging and is confident in the knowledge that they are both safe and cared for.
‘Pupils love school and thrive. They live and breathe the school’s ‘5B values’. Pupils advocate for these and, as a result, there is a particularly harmonious atmosphere across the school.’
James Capper, CEO of SUAT said: “The whole Trust are immensely proud of the leadership team and all of the staff and pupils at St Luke’s. To be judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted across all areas of provision, and with no areas of improvement identified, is a significant achievement and testament to many years of hard work.”
The report describes the Academy’s exceptional approach to personal development, empowering pupils to make a positive difference to the Academy and their community. At St Luke’s, pupils learn to be positive change makers looking to our own and others’ needs, underpinned by a holistic approach to life with the golden thread of their Academy’s Christian values.
“Pupils’ attendance is high. They want to attend school because they do not want to miss out on the exciting curriculum provided.”
The fantastic Ofsted outcome is being celebrated in school this term, including with a range of festive activities and a professional ice skating rink, sponsored by generous donations from parents and organisations within the local community to provide the pupils of St Luke’s with a wonderful Christmas experience.
We hope that the community at St Luke’s enjoy the festivities, and we would like to provide our congratulations on a fantastic and OUTSTANDING Ofsted outcome to the whole school community!
