Staffordshire University Academies Trust

There is only one legal entity accountable for all schools within a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). The MAT has one set of Articles which governs all the academies in that chain.

The MAT has a master funding agreement with the Secretary of State. Supplement funding agreement for each academy.

SUAT Members

Chair of the Trust Board – Mary Walker

Adrian Hurst – Head of Community, Stoke City Football Club

Martin Pugh – Staffordshire University Governor

Diocesan Corporate Member

SUAT Board

Up to Ten Trustees / Directors / Board Members

Governing Body which meets four times per annum.

Two committees – Education and Risk, Audit and Resources which each meet per term.

SUAT Academies

The MAT has a number of committees (Local Academy Council). The MAT will delegate matters to these Local Academy Councils who will meet officially once per half term (further meeting to be determined at LAC level).
