On Friday 3rd February, the children from All Saints CE Primary School, a small, rural village primary school, made their first ever appearance on national television. The pupils of All Saints were invited to take part in a live studio recording of the iconic children’s television show: Blue Peter!

The recording took place at Media City UK, Manchester, and was one of the show’s latest episodes: ‘Music Badge Takeover.’ Before the live recording, the children joined presenters Richie, Mwaksy and Joel for a studio run-through – they even got to meet Henry the Blue Peter Dog!

The children enjoyed a live beat box performance as part of the musical themed episode and all took part in a beat boxing battle alongside the presenters themselves. During the episode, footage of Blue Peter Presenter, Mwaksy, headlining the world’s largest school choir at the Young Voices Concert was shown – at which, a small group of All Saints pupils had performed the week before. Being the sole studio audience of a live show was a big responsibility, however the children rose to the challenge and took their role very seriously indeed!
