There are many benefits to joining a MAT and it’s currently being actively encouraged by the Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson.

Very recently he addressed many of our colleagues at the Confederation of School Trusts Annual Conference to speak about his plans for all schools to join a multi academy trust.

More than 50% of schools are part of a Trust now and sharing a similar vision to us, he understands how vital it is to the education of young people for their school to join a Trust. Being part of a Trust enables schools to deliver consistently good outcomes for their pupils and teachers. If you join a Trust like ours, it also frees up a lot of time and money so that teachers can do what they do best – teach!

A MAT structure allows the strongest of our leaders to step up and pass on that knowledge, inspire and develop great teachers.

We offer support in a multitude of ways such as:

Business: HR, financial statutory accounts, legal, policies, strategic financial planning and so much more.

Educational: CPD, Pupil Premium reviews, link with university faculties and staff, enrichment and extra-curricular support, Ofsted inspection preparation, to name a few.

You can find out more about how we support our academies here.

One of the key features that really helps us stand out as a high performing MAT is our link to Staffordshire Universities.

You can read all about how we support one another and how it results in added benefits to our academies and pupils in our latest blog.
