Moorgate Primary Academy are absolutely delighted to be judged to be the Staffordshire Pupil Premium Plus Award Winner for 2018 in the Key Stage 1 & 2 category.   This is in recognition for the work that the Academy has done to to support Looked After Children.  The panel is often quite impressive; this has previously included Tim Moss, the County Commissioner for School Quality Assurance and Intervention and the Chair of the Fostering Parents Association.  The Academy was  invited to the ceremony at the County Buildings where they heard how the Key Stage 1 & 2 category was particularly strong this year and the panel had taken the unprecedented step of commending five schools in total.

The Academy was awarded a certificate and £300, it will also be used as a case study in the county’s published document as an example of best-practice.    It serves testament to the ethos of the Academy and the work of its stakeholders, that children, irrespective of their background, are given every opportunity to be successful.
