Children at John Wheeldon Primary School were delighted to welcome Tracy Ward to the opening of their new Science Garden. Much time and effort has been put into creating this brand-new learning resource, in memory of the Trust’s former CEO.
Keith was very keen on the outdoors and the opportunities for learning that it can offer to young people. The new resource is to be incorporated throughout the academy’s curriculum – as well as offering a mindful space for children to spend time.
Academy Principal, Richard Sutton, praised the staff who had been involved in creating the space: “A lot of thought has gone into the resources used, particularly the flowers in the five planters, which have been specifically selected for their properties to stimulate each of the five senses.”
